In 1958, Kapsch developed “Capri” – the first portable transistor radio available on the Austrian market. It is not an exaggeration to say that Kapsch was one of the pioneers in developing these handy radio receivers. 59 years later - in the age of digitization - Kapsch’s innovative spirit is stronger than ever, and although we speed towards tomorrow, it is important for us to remember our roots. Thus, in 2017, our jubilee year, we take time to recall the company's first successes and major milestones. Inspired by those successful products, we want to honor the “Capri” radio. Therefore, we took the historical model as a template and transformed it to a radio equipped with the latest state-of-the-art technology. The result: a digital radio in the classic design that can play up to 40,000 channels and can be connected with smartphones, tablets and other devices via Bluetooth or USB connection.
If you also want a piece of Kapsch’s success story, take the opportunity and order your own “Capri 125” in our web shop!
